What does my scary dream about a black bird mean?

This is my blog where I describe a dream, interpret the elements of the dream to decipher the dream meaning. Today's dream features a black bird.

Today's Dream
The dreamer is driving a car and is stopped at at traffic light. A nearby car hits a crow or raven, a large dark coloured bird. The bird dies at the side of the road and a black mist starts to ascend from the dead bird. The mist starts to spread towards the car but the driver is not afraid because the windows of the car are up. People on the street are starting to cry out about the bad smell emanating from the dead bird.
The dreamer notices that the passenger window of the car is cracked open slightly and the car is filling with the black mist. The dreamer quickly shuts the window but it is too late the car is full of toxic mist. It is everywhere. Should the dreamer open the window to let the mist out of teh car or leave the windows shut at the risk of being poisoned by the toxic gas.
It is not possible to see the traffic light so it may now have moved from red. The dreamer may be able to move forward. They were intending to turn right.

Driving a car.
This describes how you move through life. If the car was comfortable and reliable you are doing well. If the car breaks down you will have problems that will delay you in reaching your goals. An old car that is reliable means that you are living a traditional life that works for you. A fast car means that you are always in a hurry and you may be missing out on things that are happening around you.
Driving alone means that you are independent and not relying on others. If you are driving and have passengers than others are relying on you. If you are a passenger then you are not totally in control of your destiny. You are letting someone else decide on your destination.
Stopping at a traffic light in a dream
If you stopped at a traffic light in your dream, you are pausing in your journey to obey a law. It is likely to be something trivial that you have to do as there are many traffic lights in life. You may continue in the same direction or choose left or right. Going right symbolises that you are turning towards a righteous path. Perhaps you have been off track but now you are ready to correct a mistake or try something new. Turning left means that you are making more radical changes, you are keen to experience something new. You may be feeling free spirited and adventuresome.
Dream of a black bird
Black birds can be symbols of good luck but they are often associated with change and transformation. In this way they may be associated with death. Death is the ultimate transformation, it may be a transformation of life style, work or relationships.
A dead black bird may mean that the opportunity for change has passed.
Dream of a black mist
A dream that has a black mist is a symbol of negativity. It is all the bad things that may surround you. The mist may be toxic and poison you so that you cannot breathe. This is a warning that you need to change direction and move away from old places and old habits that have become a problem for you.
If everyone in your dream is also being poisoned by the mist it is the environment rather than a relationship that is toxic.

If a window was open in your dream it means that there is an opportunity for something new either positive or negative to enter your life.

Today's dream is about change and transformation. The dreamer is travelling through life in a car so they are doing alright for themselves. They stop at a traffic light and they want to turn right, this means that they want to change something in their life. Turning right may represent getting back on track having made a mistake.
The black bird represents this change, however the change may have been left too late as the bird of transformation is hit by another car. This means that other people are preventing the dreamer from making that changes that are needed.
The dead bird gives off black mist and a toxic gas that effects everyone in the environment. This means that the dreamers lack of action has consequences for those around them. the dreamer feels that the lost opportunity is not their fault.
The dreamer believes that they are safe from any fallout from the accident but a passenger in their car, this would be someone they are close to has left the window open. This may be a betrayal from someone the dreamer trusted. The dreamer feels the full brunt of the problem and wishes to escape from the situation but they cannot see a way out because the mist is too thick.
This is a warning dream, the dreamer felt safe from the environment they were in. when things turned toxic they negatively effected by those around them and betrayed by a friend. The dreamer needs to get there life back on track and make the right turn before things go bad.
