Dream: Looking for your seat or date

This is my blog where I describe a dream, define the elements of the dream and then do a dream interpretation.
In the dream you are in a restaurant with a friend, they have taken a seat and you walk over to sit next to them, every time that you get near to the seat, the configuration of seats changes, you now have to walk further, there are buildings in the way, extra chairs and extra aisles. Eventually you reach your destination and sit down. This is an obstacle dream where you need to overcome some issues.
In this dream you want to settle down with someone and it seems like a simple thing to do but every time you almost reach your goal something changes. This is a message that things are going to take longer than you anticipated and be more complicated than you thought. Buildings getting in the way, may also be a symbol for home ownership that effects the course of a relationship. The fact that this was only a restaurant may mean that just going on a date is really complicated for you. You have a home, you are in strange ever changing territory that you do not understand. The success of the date or relationship depends on how well the meal went and how you interacted with this person.
Dating someone in a dream that you would never consider in your daily life is a reminder to open your eyes and widen your horizons if this was a good date. If it was a bad date then you should stick to the type of people that you already know.
