Burn the Naughty List!
Lyrics to I've Got A Little List :
As some day it may happen that a victim must be found,
I've got a little list, I've got a little list
Of society offenders who might well be underground,
And who never would be missed, they never would be missed!
Some words from: Gilbert and Sullivan's song from The Mikado.
When somebody hurts you or upsets you, do you think to yourself, "I will get them back!", or "They can't get away with what they did to me!" Most of us do, whether it's a bad relationship, a business partnership or an employer - we are often seething with rage about things that have happened and that we cannot change. The important thing to remember is that it happened and it is over with - we need to get on with our lives.
All people who have flabby hands and irritating laughs —
All children who are up in dates, and floor you with 'em flat —
All persons who in shaking hands, shake hands with you like that —
And all third persons who on spoiling tête-á-têtes insist —
They'd none of 'em be missed — they'd none of 'em be missed!
There's the banjo serenader, and the others of his race,
And the piano-organist — I've got him on the list!
And the people who eat peppermint and puff it in your face,
They never would be missed — they never would be missed!
Then the idiot who praises, with enthusiastic tone,
All centuries but this, and every country but his own;
And the lady from the provinces, who dresses like a guy,
And who "doesn't think she dances, but would rather like to try";
And that singular anomaly, the lady novelist —
I don't think she'd be missed — I'm sure she'd not he missed!
|And that Nisi Prius nuisance, who just now is rather rife,
The Judicial humorist — I've got him on the list!
All funny fellows, comic men, and clowns of private life —
They'd none of 'em be missed — they'd none of 'em be missed.
And apologetic statesmen of a compromising kind,
Such as — What d'ye call him — Thing'em-bob, and likewise — Never-mind,
And 'St— 'st— 'st— and What's-his-name, and also You-know-who —
The task of filling up the blanks I'd rather leave to you.
But it really doesn't matter whom you put upon the list,
For they'd none of 'em be missed — they'd none of 'em be missed!
|You may put 'em on the list — you may put 'em on the list;
And they'll none of 'em be missed — they'll none of 'em be missed!
Easy to say, not easy to do! If you wake up in the middle of the night and you are angry and frustrated, you may want to get up and compose a letter or an email to the person who has caused you the grief. I recommend that you do this, but whatever you do, don't send it, if it is an email, do not press the send button, just get all of your feelings out and then dispose of the evidence.
Good suggestions for keeping your good karma on this site!
Burning the problem is good, it makes it final and gives you the chance to let go of all those bad feelings. You have to believe in karma, always wish your enemies well and be generous with your good energy.
Recently, I was contemplating writing a list of all the employers in Orlando who are really bad at retaining staff. They advertise the same positions on careerbuilder.com every week. Either these companies are expanding like crazy, they don't care care about their employees or they have really bad human resources departments hiring the wrong people. Hire and fire is a terrible way to do business and unfortunately with the current economy employees have no choice but to work for these companies.
Another reason companies may be hiring constantly...
I did not compile the list.Even though, I tried to justify writing the list by saying that I was doing it to help people choose the right job, but really I just wanted to hurt the employers to get back at them. This is negative energy and does not leave me in a good state of mind!
I have to send out positive messages that will come back to me as good things! There is no point in harboring negative thoughts that will contaminate each beautiful new day.
