Water Dream

This is my blog where I describe a dream, interpret the elements of the dream and then give a dream interpretation. In today's dream our dreamer is spending time with a rich person. The person had moved to a new area and was very pleased with their new home. The dreamer liked the house but noticed that the water in the home was contaminated. The dreamer decided not to tell the rich person because it would upset them.

Types of Water Dream

There are many types of water dream and each has a different meaning. Water is associated with emotions and purity. It is used for survival and for cleaning. Water can also be very beautiful. Water is powerful and water can be dangerous.

Dream of a Flood

To dream about a flood means that you are overwhelmed with emotion. There is too much going on around you and you are unable to cope with the situation. It is time to find higher ground, to move on or to take a step back.

Dream of Falling into Water

To dream about falling into water means that you are afraid of getting involved in emotional situations. You may need time to heal from a situation or to move on slowly, this is not the time for making rash emotional decisions.

If you dream about drinking water, you may be dehydrated. It can also mean that you feel the need to cleanse and purify your body.

If you dream about paddling, you are getting ready for a new relationship. You want to take things steady and not rush in.

If you dream about swimming and you are comfortable in the water, then you are comfortable emotionally. You have the strength and the power to deal with the situation that you are in.

Dream about Drowning

If you dream about drowning, then you are in too deep! Extract yourself from an emotional situation, you do not have the skills at this time to handle this.

Dream about Washing

To dream about washing means that you are purifying your environment. It can mean that you are taking care of your health so that you are ready to continue your journey.

Dream about Dirty Water

Dirty water in a dream is a sign that the place you are in is contaminated. It could be corruption or it may mean that you are in an unhealthy situation. You will be unable to maintain health unless you move away. It could be an un healthy emotional situation.

Dream about a Leak

Leaks in dreams mean that there is a health issue or an emotional issue that needs your attention. Things may be minor at the moment but you must take care of things before they get worse. Do not ignore this sign.

Dream about a Rich Person

Dreaming of a rich person means that you are around someone who has abundance. If they are generous then there are good prospects for you and those around you. If they do not share their wealth then you may be feeling resentment at the situation that you are in.

Dreaming about a New Home

A new home in a dream represents a new start. If the home was nice, this is a positive thing. If the home was poor or dirty then you will be taking a step down materially.

What Does Today's Dream Mean?

In today's dream our dreamer is aware that a rich person who is known to them has purchased a home where the water is not safe. This means that the dreamer has a problem with communication and does not want to disappoint this person. The dreamer is feeling insecure and is afraid of the consequences of telling the truth about something even though this would save the health of their friend. This is a problem that needs to be resolved, it will be uncomfortable but it needs to be done.

I chose Temperance for today's tarot card because it represents moderation. The Angel has a foot in water and a foot on land. This is about balance between the different elements of our lives. The angel is weighing up situations and blending to create a wholesome situation without extremes. There is a feeling of calm and abundance and of knowing the way forward. This is the opposite of the dream where the water was polluted and our dreamer did not take any action.

Dream Interpretations

I started interpreting dreams when I was a teenager. I always had very detailed dreams and would recount them to my friends. A boyfriend bought me a dream dictionary and I started to delve into interpretation. Unfortunately, I found that many dreams had elements that were contradictory and so I did not get a good understanding of my dream by just using a dictionary.

I realised that different people have different relationships with dream symbols based on experience, their daily lives and culture. A person who keeps snakes will have a different interpretation of a snake dream to a person who has a fear of snakes.
