The Fool - from the Rider Tarot Deck
The Fool is the first card in the pack and depicts a young man and his dog setting off on a journey, he is an idealistic young man, a little naive, he is so busy enjoying the view that he doesn't realize that he may be about to fall off the cliff.
The Fool
They call me the fool ‘cos I’m taking a risk,
I’m walking along; may fall off the cliff.
My dog runs with me, he barks at my feet.
I’m feeling excited, I have what I need.
I’m on an adventure; I’m leaving my home.
I know I’ll be safe wherever I roam.
I packed what I need for my journey today.
I’m happy to leave and be on my way!
A new adventure has begun
Nothing ventured nothing won!
Most books on tarot do not give you many tips on how to interpret the card in different positions. Here are some ideas on how to interpret "The Fool' in different positions using the traditional Celtic Cross spread.
Card number one, Present Position: the questioner is feeling ready for adventure and impulsive actions.
Card number two, Immediate Influence: the questioner is being influenced by someone adventurous or has a current urge to be more adventurous.
Card number 3, Goal or Destiny: the questioner is looking for more excitement in life and may just give up everything to go away and travel.
Card number four, Distant Past Foundation: many years ago, the questioner was impulsive and adventurous and todays' events are based on that past.
Card number 5, Recent Past Events: recent travels or escapades are influencing the questioner at this time.
Card number 6, Future Influence: the questioner will be taking a more youthful, risk taking approach to life or they may meet someone who has those characteristics.
Card Number 7, The Questioner: the questioner has the characteristics of the fool, they may be young, foolish, naive, impulsive or adventurous.
Card Number 8, Environmental Factors: there is someone or something in the questioner's life that has the characteristics of the fool.
Card Number 9, Inner Emotions: based on the question asked, the reader will need to assess if the questioner is feeling foolish or in fact wants to be more adventurous. The fool can be seen as young and charming or as someone idealistic who does not consider the consequences of their actions.
Card Number 10: Final Result: the fool in this position may mean that the questioner is going off on an exciting adventure or being impulsive and naive.

Dream Interpretations
I started interpreting dreams when I was a teenager. I always had very detailed dreams and would recount them to my friends. A boyfriend bought me a dream dictionary and I started to delve into interpretation. Unfortunately, I found that many dreams had elements that were contradictory and so I did not get a good understanding of my dream by just using a dictionary.
I realised that different people have different relationships with dream symbols based on experience, their daily lives and culture. A person who keeps snakes will have a different interpretation of a snake dream to a person who has a fear of snakes.
Dreams may have symbols that are good omens or bad omens, understanding the context of the omens will help you to interpret their true meaning for you.
My blog is a series of dreams and interpretations of the elements in each dream to help you to understand how best to interpret your dreams, I am also available to interpret a dream for you.
