Tarot Readings!

I started reading tarot cards many years ago when I was in college, I was studying business but my real interest has always been in psychology, astrology, tarot and dreams. I waited a long time to pursue tarot reading professionally. I do not understand how tarot cards work or why they work. I do not believe that you need special powers to read the cards but experience and an understanding of the symbols on each card opens the doors to a successful interpretation.

It is a good idea to be in a quiet place to have a tarot reading, to be able to free your mind of distractions and concentrate on an issue that you would like some insight into. Tarot cards can give you insight into situations and things that are happening around the questioner.

I have been a tarot reader for more than 40 years and will be happy to do a reading for you, the cost is $30 for 30 minutes or $50 per hour.  In UK: £20 for 30 minutes or £35 for 60 minutes. I use PayPal for payment and Skype to complete the reading. Please email me to set this up with your preferred time see below. mysticpolly@yahoo.com. Readings are for entertainment only!

In US Time: I am available Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday 2pm, 3pm, 4pm or 5pm Eastern Standard Time and Saturday 9 am, 10 am and 11 am EST.

In UK time: Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday 7pm, 8pm and 9pm. Saturday 2 pm, 3pm and 4 pm.

 The Priestess

The Priestess

I am the Priestess

Queen of the stillness.

I like to meditate, seek what’s inside

My strong intuition acts as my guide.

With lunar crown and papal robes,

I have no use for normal clothes.

I am a teacher,

But not a preacher.

The female pope at number two,

I can keep a secret from you.

I’m very quiet but not asleep,

Remember still waters run deep.

The priestess is a strong quiet woman, she is smart and intellectual and well read. She may be working in education, she is an introvert and not really interested in fashion. She would rather meditate than go to a wild party. She says what she needs to say when it is needed, she is intuitive and very deep.

Most books on tarot do not give you many tips on how to interpret the card in different positions. Here are some ideas on how to interpret "The Priestess' in different positions using the traditional Celtic Cross spread.

Card number one, Present Position:  the questioner is quiet, thoughtful, perhaps they are a teacher or they are in education of some type.

Card number two, Immediate Influence:  the questioner is being influenced by a teacher, a quiet woman, someone who likes to meditate, a calming influence.

Card number 3, Goal or Destiny:  the questioner is looking to become  more centered, calm and at ease with the world or to work in educating others.

Card number 5, Recent Past Events: the questioner has met someone who is quiet and less outgoing or they were that person.

Card number 6, Future Influence: the questioner will become more like the priestess or be influenced by someone who has the characteristics of the priestess.

Card Number 7, The Questioner: the questioner has the characteristics of a teacher, intellectually curious, quiet, introverted  -this relates to the personality of the questioner in relation to the question asked.

Card Number 8, Environmental Factors: there is someone or something in the questioner's life who has the characteristics of the priestess.

Card Number 9, Inner Emotions: the questioner wants to be more serious, educated, studious, possibly calmer, more likely to explore their inner world.

Easy Way to Learn Tarot Cards

Mystic Polly Main Page

I have studied the tarot cards for years, I learned the Celtic Cross and I learned the meanings of a few of the cards, but there were so many of them! I used to just get the tarot interpretation book off the shelf and read away. At the end of the reading I was confused!  There were so many contradictory things in the books and a list of words for a meaning does not speak to me in a useful way.

I took lessons from several people on reading tarot cards and was given some really good pointers, such as; "read the card by looking at the picture", and " this card represents a male who is a Leo". Combining tarot with numerology and astrology was very helpful for me, as was using the pictures so long as the deck contains good pictures.

I still felt that there should be a way that I could help to memorize meanings on some of the trickier cards so I decided to write a poem for every card. It took me several months, I hope you find these poems useful.

I am also focussing this blog on card positions based on the Celtic Cross to help find meanings. Remember to get into the right frame of mind to do a reading and use your intuition cards can have different meanings for everyone and you are the messenger.

Enjoy my blog!

The Fool - from the Rider Tarot Deck

The Fool is the first card in the pack and depicts a young man and his dog setting off on a journey, he is an idealistic young man, a little naive, he is so busy enjoying the view that he doesn't realize that he may be about to fall off the cliff.

The Fool

They call me the fool ‘cos I’m taking a risk,

I’m walking along; may fall off the cliff.

My dog runs with me, he barks at my feet.

I’m feeling excited, I have what I need.

I’m on an adventure; I’m leaving my home.

I know I’ll be safe wherever I roam.

I packed what I need for my journey today.

I’m happy to leave and be on my way!

A new adventure has begun

Nothing ventured nothing won!

Most books on tarot do not give you many tips on how to interpret the card in different positions. Here are some ideas on how to interpret "The Fool' in different positions using the traditional Celtic Cross spread.

Card number one, Present Position:  the questioner is feeling ready for adventure and impulsive actions.

Card number two, Immediate Influence:  the questioner is being influenced by someone adventurous or has a current urge to be more adventurous.

Card number 3, Goal or Destiny:  the questioner is looking for more excitement in life and may just give up everything to go away and travel.

Card number four,  Distant Past Foundation: many years ago, the questioner was impulsive and adventurous and todays' events are based on that past.

Card number 5, Recent Past Events: recent travels or escapades are influencing the questioner at this time.

Card number 6, Future Influence: the questioner will be taking a more youthful, risk taking approach to life or they may meet someone who has those characteristics.

Card Number 7, The Questioner: the questioner has the characteristics of the fool, they may be young, foolish, naive, impulsive or adventurous.

Card Number 8, Environmental Factors: there is someone or something in the questioner's life that has the characteristics of the fool.

Card Number 9, Inner Emotions: based on the question asked, the reader will need to assess if the questioner is feeling foolish or in fact wants to be more adventurous. The fool can be seen as young and charming or as someone idealistic who does not consider the consequences of their actions.

Card Number 10: Final Result: the fool in this position may mean that the questioner is going off on an exciting adventure or being impulsive and naive.

Dream meanings Nature

This is my dream interpretation blog, I have been defining dreams for my whole life. Over the years I have gained a much greater understanding of the symbolism in each dream, the messages and personal insights that can be gained from taking a closer look at them. Looking up a dream section by section in a dreamers dictionary can give you some clue as to a dream meaning but does not take into account the context of the dream.

Dream Interpretations

I started interpreting dreams when I was a teenager. I always had very detailed dreams and would recount them to my friends. One of my boyfriends bought me a dream dictionary and I started to delve into interpretation. Unfortunately, I found that many dreams had elements that were contradictory and so I did not really get a detailed analysis of my dream.

I realised that different people have different relationships with dream symbols based on experience, their daily lives and culture. A person who keeps snakes will have a different interpretation of a snake dream to a person who has a fear of snakes.

Dreams may have symbols that are said to be good omens and then some that are bad omens, understanding the context of the omens will help you to interpret their true meaning for you.

My blog is a series of dreams and interpretations of the elements in each dream to help you to understand how best to interpret your dreams, I am also available to interpret a dream for you. Email me: mysticpolly@yahoo.com, dream interpretations are free!

I organise the dreams by general subject area rather than alphabetically, if you have a question about a dream symbol please email me.

Please email me to set this up with your preferred time see below.. Readings are for entertainment only!

In US Time: I am available Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday 2pm, 3pm, 4pm or 5 pm Eastern Standard Time and Saturday 9 am, 10 am and 11 am EST.

In UK time: Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday 7 pm, 8 pm and 9 pm. Saturday 2 pm, 3pm and 4 pm.

Dreams about Family and People

This is my dream interpretation blog, where I describe a dream and then interpret the different elements to give a dream meaning. I believe that it is more important to look at the context of a dream than to just interpret the elements. My dream interpretations show how you can do this. There are hundreds of dream interpretations on my blog and I have divided them by area to make it easier to work on an interpretation.

Dreams about Family and People

We spend most of our lives interacting with others so it is hardly surprising that other people feature in our dreams. a strange thing happens in dreams, you may be told in the dream that a certain person is a family member to you but you do not know them, or you may see someone from your real life in a different role in your dream. It is important to think about what the person represents to you to help you to work out what they represent in your dream.

Here is a common dream related to family: Dream about family moving away  dream meanings family.

Another common dream is a dream about babies: dream about talking babies covers baby dream meanings.

You may have a dream where your interactions with others are not smooth, perhaps someone is dependant on you: Dream about having someone on your back or you Dream of looking for your date

You may also meet some people that you do not know: dream about a room mate and musicians!

Dreams about Transport

This is my dream interpretation blog, I have been defining dreams for my whole life. Over the years I have gained a much greater understanding of the symbolism in each dream, the messages and personal insights that can be gained from taking a closer look at them. Looking up a dream section by section in a dreamers dictionary can give you some clue as to a dream meaning but does not take into account the context of the dream.

Dreams about Transportation

Transportation is the way that we move through life, so the type of transportation, the luxury or simplicity of it will give you a clue as to the way that you will be moving. You may dream about riding a bike, unicycle or tricycle  ; Dream about driving a car ; or dream about a helicopter.

Your dream may contain other elements of transportation, it can sometimes be a bit strange, Dreaming about a drone or dream about a UFO. These dreams are less related to the way you move through life and more about how you relate to the world. Are we alone?

Your dream may be more of an obstacle dream where things are not running smoothly on your journey, Dream about catching a plane ; Dream about having someone on your back, dream about plane crash, Dream meaning out of breath, lost luggage, bus

If you Dream of a road , the condition of the road will give you information about your travels, and so will a Dream about shoes

There are elements of transportation in so many types of dreams, so note the condition and direction of the movement for clues as to the dream message. You may have a Dream meaning running away or Dream about moving backwards , here is another dream interpretation with direction - Dream about Rocks

Here is a link to my main blog page with links to other types of dreams. What does my Dream Mean?
