This week my dream is about candle holders and book racks. I am in a garage, looking at a bunch of knick knacks that have been given to me. It feels as if someone has died and I have inherited these things. There is a book rack, it is wooden and will hold about six books and there are several candle holders. I think that the book rack is not much use to me as I have given away most of my books. I look at the candle holders, they are interesting, all of them are different. One of them is made of Jade and has a gold jaguar on it. It is a nice candle holder but I realize that I do not have any need for these things.
I think about the meaning of this dream, on the surface it could mean that someone I know dies and I inherit a lot of things from them that I do not really want. This meaning did not resonate with me and so I thought some more about the message. I found myself thinking that I had been given some gifts that I feel are not useful. This is, of course the true meaning of the dream! The gifts are my inherited talents, i.e. inherited knick knacks. I believe that it refers to my gift of intuition, it is something that I possess but that I do not use often and I question it's use to me. The book rack is significant because it shows that I have stopped taking lessons in intuitive development as I feel that at my age I should not need to take any further classes. However, I am given a rack and there is room for six more books so I feel that the message is that I need to study some more.
The candle holders are interesting and exotic like my talents. I need a candlestick to make my gift useful. A stick could mean that I need to be driven and motivated to use this talent. A candle needs to have a match put to it, so something needs to create a fire and desire to use this gift effectively. A lighted candle would show an intuitive person a pathway to the darker recesses of the mind. It sounds as if I need to find my motivation from within and perhaps the books will encourage me to use my talents more effectively. How useful is an empty book rack or an empty candleholder?
